World Book Day

Finally we got to celebrate World Book Day on Thursday March 15th. We were so impressed with all the costumes. We had a story teller visit which the pupils thoroughly enjoyed! Check out some of our pics below……  


Chess Club

Meet our Chess Club who are becoming ever more confident and competent at playing Chess. After only 8weeks, the children have grasped the basics, along with holding a few tricks up their sleeves.   “That’s what Chess is all about. One day you give your opponent a lesson, the next day he gives you one.” Bobby Fischer   Concentration levels are high…………….


Snow Volcanoes

Last week, 4th Class were learning all about Volcanoes and what causes them to erupt. They learned that when an acid is mixed with an alkali, carbon dioxide is released, causing a build up of pressure. With that, the children took full advantage of the snow and set out to create their very own Ring of Fire. They constructed snow volcanoes adding baking soda

Welcome back to a busy term!

We would like to welcome back our pupils and staff after our unexpected snow days. We are settling back into  quite a busy few weeks! We are beginning our celebrations for Seachtain na Gaeilge, busy planning our Tráth na gCeist! We have also rescheduled our World Book Day to Thursday March 15th which will still include dress up and  a visit from a story
